Rocky River Football Report by The Marooners
What a way to start the 2012 season with our 50th win over our main rival. The defense came ready to play and layed many jaw-breaking hits on the Warrior players. Leading the defense was linebacker Michael Dickey, who registered 13 tackles, defensive player of the game, Martin Finnegan, who added 2 interceptions and caused a fumble with a high light real hit. Coach Fowler and the rest of the defensive staff need to be recognized for their game plan and having the defense ready to play.
The offense was led by Keelan Boettcher, who completed 16 of 27 passes for 186 yards including a 36 yard TD pass to Pat Connors. Pat ended the night with 4 receptions for 74 yards. Martin Finnegan was the leading rusher with 55 yards. The offense totalled 311 yards.
The Pirates host Parma on Friday. I hope to see you there!
