Week 2 vs Wellington
The largest growth of a football team comes between weeks 1 and 2 and the Pirate football team grew by leaps and bounds vs Wellington. Matt Lowry continued his air assult by following his 304 yard effort against Fairview with a 264 yard effort with 5 more TD passes to bring his season total to 9 against only 2 int’s. Jr. Pat Connors and So. Evan Nugent had big nights receiving again with Pat catching 3 TD passes. Also, Alex Theiling added a TD reception.
The defense had a huge night forcing 5 TO’s, including a fumble recovery and run for a TD by Eric Jones. Eric also added an interception, and Cam Heider picked off his third pass of the season. Jimi Smith and Nick Rodgers led the defense in tackles.
Week 3 vs Warrensville
